This week was week 2 of swim lessons at our house, and I am EXHAUSTED. Spending all day every day outside in the heat hanging out with people wiped me out, but it was SO fun having people here. While I’m sad they’re over, I’m pretty excited to be able to have friends over to swim now that the pool isn’t occupied.
J turned 4 on Tuesday! His aunt Leah brought him birthday donuts, and he’s been getting presents all week from people, which he’s been loving of course. And he’s been sharing it all so well! He even gave one of his two cake pops to Miss Katie! This is a huge thing for him, and it’s been one of my favorite things this week to watch him share his new things without complaint!
Both big boys got much-needed haircuts from Mr. Andrew, and they look SO handsome!
Lyla slept over one night, which was super fun for the girl. She’s surrounded by all these boys so it was nice for her to have some girl time with her cousin.
We had an appointment with the fertility doctor this week to discuss the frozen embryo transfer (FET) that we’re doing in July. More details on that later, but look at these little embabies!!! He gave us pictures of all four of them. How cute are they?! I think it’s just the coolest thing ever to see them at this stage. They’re all my favorites!!!
While we went to the doctor, the kids stayed at home with friends while swim lessons were going on so we stopped at Chick-Fil-A to have a mini-date on the way home!
One of my absolute favorite moments this week was celebrating our friends’ adoption of this guy! I was his attorney while he was in foster care. Adoptions are my favorite part of my job!!!! There’s so much redemption in it. I love it so much.
Gary and I have found a new favorite TV show. I know we’re a little late to the party, but we’ve been binge watching Downton Abbey! We’re on the last season (season 6), and we’ve got about 1 hour left of the season finale. What should we watch next?!
Happy weekend, friends!!! Hope it’s a good one!
